I played ‘Rock’ in Alex Matraxia’s short film ‘Dream Factory’. The film plays with the historical role of cinemas as cruising sites, relations between nostalgia and fetish, especially when navigating queer history. The film screened at London Short Film Festival at Curzon Soho as part of the program ‘Viva Cinema’.
Team: I shared the screen with Naissa Bjørn. Directed by Alex Matraxia. Production design and costume Bailey. Still photography Joseph Lynn . DoP Benjamin Leggett. Producer Emily Eyre.
Personal: What was hard: Daring myself to be seen on screen - this was my first ever short film and I felt shy. What I’m most proud of: I turned up and tried my best and it looks cool! What I learnt: A lot about film acting and the differences from theatre. That a queer cast and crew is gorgeous!
