‘Moon Licks’

I wrote this weird and wonderful play. It’s sweaty and queer and surprisingly beautiful. It’s about how animal humans really are, and how much we need each other.

It’s directed by the gorge Sean Linnen, made in collaboration with that lovely lot at PainesPlough. Performed by proper brave proper brilliant proper actors graduating from RWCMD.

Personal: What was hard: Life stuff got in the way of me being in rehearsals and the FOMO was so loud. What I’m most proud of: The bold and brave performances from brilliant actors who owned the stage with such courage and vulnerability despite being out of their comfort zones. What I learnt: That weird is indeed sometimes wonderful. That my neurodiversity can be celebrated. That we are hungry for joyful storytelling.
